Dr. Bryer graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1996. After working in a two person, mixed animal practice in rural Ontario for 2 years she gained an interest in small animal emergency medicine. In 1998 she joined the Veterinary Emergency Clinic as a part time emergency veterinarian and has since progressed to managing the emergency medicine department.
Dr. Bryer also manages the feline blood donor program, the radioactive iodine therapy program, sits on the intern committee and the infectious disease control committee here at the VEC. She has an interest in transfusion medicine, hyperthyroidism in cats, geriatrics and communication.
Outside of veterinary medicine Dr. Bryer enjoys travel, cooking, SCUBA diving and home renovations. She lives with two former blood donor cats, one dog, one turtle, two kids and one very tolerant husband.
