Dr. Glenn Lane graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2012 and completed a rotating internship in Los Angeles, California in 2013. He then practiced as an emergency veterinarian in Alberta for 3 years, first at Guardian Veterinary Centre in Edmonton, then at Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency Centre in Calgary.
In 2016, he moved to Boston, Massachusetts to complete a residency in Emergency and Critical Care at Angell Animal Medical Center. He achieved board certification with the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care in 2019.
After residency, he worked as a critical care specialist at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, DC before moving back to Canada to join the team at VEC in February 2021.
His professional interests include advanced shock resuscitation, point of care ultrasound, coagulation, transfusion medicine, and mechanical ventilation.
